Dr.Ashwin Kashikar, founder and Managing Director of Genext Genomics, has gained his Ph.D from Delhi University in 2007. He is functional as the General Manager (Research) at Ankur Seeds Pvt Ltd, an agribiotechnology based company. He brings along with himself huge experience of academia and Industrial leadership qualities.
With a vision to develop the technologies which can provide quality and cost effective scientific solution, he founded Genext Genomics. With his entrepreneurship qualities, GNG aims to be leading the race for quality products and services.
Supriya Kashikar, Founder and CEO of Genext Genomics, has graduated from Delhi University in Microbiology and earned Post graduation in Biochemical Technology. She brings with her more than 14 years of academia and Industrial Experience . She has worked in various academia and Industry. She worked on various international project of Drug discovery, assay development at Jubilant Biosys Pvt Ltd.
At GNG, She is chief executive officer where she is nurturing company in the field of delivering effective solution to the scientific problem. She added value to the company by grabbing BIG award and successfully leading her work in tuberculosis. She also serves as CO-PI for an INDO-FRENCH collaborative project along with University of Bordeaux, VIT and SPAN SRL for development of prognostic diagnostic of CVD. She has also been awarded Women in Entrepeneural Research (WInER) award by BIRAC and TiE in March 2018.
Protein Structural Biologist started his scientific journey since year 1990 with IGIB (CSIR) Delhi. He gained his Ph.D. and moved to Harvard Medical School and Harvard University, USA. Almost three decades, he contributed as a researcher for prominent and prestigious academic institutes and industries in India, USA, South Africa and UK. During his academic scientific endeavor he authored key publications on structural evaluation of various high valued proteins and enzymes. His experience as protein project consultant and experiment designer for start-up industries in USA, UK and Denmark benefited GeNext Genomics (GNG).
His distinguishing characteristic, strategic leadership, mentorship and strong experience in molecular biology, protein crystallography, biochemistry, microbiology, recombinant protein biotechnology, analytical chemistry etc. developed the TEAM-GNG to deliver high valued recombinant/wild type proteins and mini antibodies for scientific fraternity. Currently, he is immensely interested in collaborative projects with academics and other industries within GNG’s exclusive competence.
Dr. Shivali Kashikar , Subject Expert and Board Member of Genext Genomics Pvt Ltd has expertise in Radiation Safety , Clinical Radiology, Pediatric Imaging, Musculoskeletal imaging and ultrasound. She has done her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of surgery) from Indira Gandhi Medical College and Master’s in Medical Radio Diagnosis from Government Medical College, Nagpur. She has been conferred with various awards namely, ‘Gold Medal’ for surgery, and Best Paper Award in Consultant Category by Indian Society of Pediatric Radiology.
She has also Completed her MHPE (Master’s in Health Professional Education) in 2014 and PhD in 2016. Furthermore, she is operating as Professor in Department of Radio-Diagnosis, Jawaharlal Medical College. With this immense expertise she is always been a source of guidance for Genext Genomics for delivering science to the community.
Prof. M. A. Vijayalakshmi is Director of CBST VIT University. Prof. Vijayalakshmi with her basic formation in chemistry, from All India Institute of Chemistry, Calcutta in 1966, obtained a PhD from University de Bourgogne, Dijon, France in 1974. She was awarded “CHEVALLIER de PALMES ACADEMIQUES” France in 2005. She received the prestigious “PIERCE AWARD” instituted by the International Society for Molecular Recognition (USA), in 1999 for outstanding achievements in the field of Affinity Technology and Bio-recognition at the International Level. She was selected by the Indian Government as the best young scientist from India to meet the Prime Minister during her visit to France in 1981. She holds more than 150 publications and 7 patents to her credit, all dealing with pseudo biospecific affinity systems. She has been invited to present many plenary lectures and to serve as chairperson of scientific sessions at major international conferences and symposia.
